JOHNSTON PODIATRY CANCELLATION POLICY

At Johnston Podiatry we strive to provide all patients with appointments as soon as possible. However, there is often a substantial wait time for podiatry services. Giving us sufficient notice that you cannot attend an appointment enables us to offer that appointment to someone who may urgently need it. For this reason, and to respect the time of each podiatrist, the following cancellation policy is in place.

CANCELLATION NOTICE

If your appointment is more than 24 hours away, you can cancel or change it free of charge.

Appointments cancelled or changed with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a £26.00 charge.

Cancellations must be made by telephone in the first instance. In the event that we cannot answer the phone at the time you call, please leave a voicemail notifying us of the cancellation.

If telephoning is not possible, an email will be accepted providing 24 hours’ notice is given.

Please note that we cannot accept cancellations by SMS or social media.

LATE ARRIVALS

If you are more than 10 minutes late to your appointment, we cannot guarantee that you will be treated. If the podiatrist is able to see you, the appointment length may be shortened to ensure that it ends in line with the appointment schedule. A full appointment charge will still apply.

Arriving late to an appointment causes a delay to the appointment schedule, puts undue time pressure on the podiatrist, and reduces the amount of time the podiatrist can spend treating you in the time remaining. If you are running a few minutes late but aren’t far away, please call the clinic on 0141 772 7949 as soon as possible.

IF YOU MISS A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT

If you miss an appointment without 24 hours’ notice, a charge of £26.00 will be applied. We appreciate that sometimes unforeseen circumstances can lead to an appointment being missed. If this is the case, please call the clinic to notify us as soon as possible.

If you are late to multiple appointments or miss several appointments, we reserve the right to refuse you any future appointments.

Thank you for your understanding.
